Tuesday 19 August 2016 So my parents finally let me get a hippo. we went to the house with the hippo.My parents and the neighbors stared at the hippo. Inside I was thinking haven't they seen a hippo before. Then my parents asked what are you going to name her?I thought for a bit then chose her name.Was going to be Angela.My parsons nodded then said ok at the same time.So we decided where will she stay  Wednesday 20 August 2016 So we decided that Angela would sleep on an old mattress on the floor. In my room next to my bed.But with the whole feeding thing .We didn't want to spend a lot of money.So we made a garden patch but she always ate it. Die  sport wat ek by die skool steel is  hokkie .Ek hou  daar van on vir te Game shakers te kyk  . My besste booke is Dork diaries .Die werk wat ek nog will doen is n hokkie speeler. 'n Paar mense vir wie ek negtig  respek is my pa en my ma.  Ek wil akademsie eeerbewyse verdien hard te werk .Baie  te lees. Do you know how it is to wake up every morning wet and cold .Then  have to go to school on an empty stomach. Having a family of 6t to live on 1290 a month. 13 Thousand people living in one community.When you come home from school there is nobody to take care of you are on your own. Only one of 30 children get to finish school. when I go to school and have tests I can't learn because I have to share with 5 other people.It is just so hard for me . I want to go play sport outside but my school can't afford it .When I'm sick I want to go to the hospital but there is know space for me . I am so sad because I have to leave school next year  because I have been in school for 5 years. When I need the bathroom I have to wait in a long line before I can use the bathroom . When I got home from school I had to wash my clothes in a bucket. The worst thing of all when I got home it started to rain and my shack started to flood .Then I had to sleep in a wet bed it was so terrible.  

Last week the singing inspector came. His name was Mr. Raymond . He wore big knickerbockers He  told all of us to go into a big room. I was so scared and he called us up in two's. First was Benny and Charles . He made them stand in front.Benny was short and Charles was very tall.so he asked and asked what songs they new but the didn't know any song except one . Benny said in a small voice we can sing pretty Polly .Then Mr.Raymond scream "Then sing it" he Said .looked very angry. Then they both sang it sounded terrible. Pretty Polly PrettyPolly what's what's o'clock. Sang Benny in a small squeaky voice .Charles in a high also Squeaky voice.then they called me and Jesse . I COULDEN'T SING my heart was beating I felt like everyone could hear it Jesse just froze

On Friday the 15th we Skype with a class over seas called Wilmington school. It was a school in North Carolina. They where doing a 24 hour Skype a thon. And we where one off the classes chosen. So Gabi and Biyu where saying greeting in all our languages.hannah and Kyla talked about health care and education.then someone else talked about student needs and wants.

It all started on Wednesday when we when to camp we took the bus to camp. My mom wouldn't stop saying goodbye I could tell she was going to miss me . But I don't blame her who wouldn't miss me .Then we went on the bus to high Africa .We got there and then they told us which cabins we where going to be in I was in cabin number 4. With Camryn,Lola,Emma,Mikaya,Kyla and sonwarbe. Then we started with actives the group I was in did the leap of faith at was very scary because it was very high . So you get a hachness and a helmet and they tie you to a rope and you have to jump off its really scary .then at night we had a nigh hike it was really dark and we weren't allowed to use torches Then we got.back and we had to go to bed . The next day we did river rafting we had to make our own raft and the other teams raft broak into pecies then my team one.the that night we had a cooking competition we had to make pookie but we where in groups My groups theme was under the ocean We...

For me ILT was a lot of fun we did soil creatures. my partner Kyla and I did did the Riverine rabbit. we had to make a poster and it was really fun. Me and my partner used stickers,color  pages and lollipop sticks.we used a bright pink poster. and then we had to do and oral we had one hour to learn and make cue cards and dress up. we had to bring our own clothes from home and I bough mine but Kyla  forgot hers. but me made it work we pretended she was an explorer .I  did a country accent and everybody especially Mikaya loved it. and we also did a maths assessment. My partner and I working on our poster   My partner and I doing our oral SO MUCH FUN!

On my first day I  was quite nervous.  I thought what if the work was too hard. What  if I couldn't  do it.But then we had then first day and then I noticed that it really wasn't that hard . But I got used too  It .I was glad I got in to a class I wanted to be in with all my friends. I got a really nice teacher she is so much fun . so for me grade 5 is going great.
