The singing Inspector
Last week the singing inspector came. His name was Mr. Raymond . He wore big knickerbockers
He told all of us to go into a big room. I was so scared and he called us up in two's. First was Benny and Charles . He made them stand in front.Benny was short and Charles was very tall.so he asked and asked what songs they new but the didn't know any song except one . Benny said in a small voice we can sing pretty Polly .Then Mr.Raymond scream "Then sing it" he Said .looked very angry. Then they both sang it sounded terrible. Pretty Polly PrettyPolly what's what's o'clock. Sang Benny in a small squeaky voice .Charles in a high also Squeaky voice.then they called me and Jesse . I COULDEN'T SING my heart was beating I felt like everyone could hear it Jesse just froze
